Nemesis: Into the Shadows

This book by Catherine Macphail is about a homeless boy called Ram who has lost his memory and has no recollection of his past. He wakes up in a lift next to an old and dying man who has just been stabbed by a gangster known as "The Wolf", who is an urban legend to the townsfolk. Gaby, a young girl who has been out late, finds Ram in the lift and screams at him and accuses him of murder, which leads to a series of false tabloids and the town leading a manhunt for Ram. But something is moving in the shadows, could it be connected with the dead man, or is Ram's past catching up with him?

I liked this book because it was about crime and had a touch of teen humour in it. It gripped my attention from the first page and I was bursting for more!
